Kütahya Dumlupınar University (DPÜ) Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Özer Aydın visited the technology company to exchange views within the framework of university-industry collaborations.
Prof. Dr. Özer Aydin and Dr. Lecturer Member Soydan Serttaş visited the technology company in order to integrate university graduates into the technology sector and provide support to internship programs and Teknofest teams.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Özer Aydın met with Mustafa Çeliker, the owner of the technology company, and evaluated cooperation opportunities. One of the issues that stood out at the meeting was the employment of university graduates in positions that suit the needs of the company. Çeliker stated that the strong academic knowledge and practice of university graduates will add value to the company's innovation and development processes.
Prof. Dr. Özer Aydın said, “As a university, we focus on graduating our students not only with academic knowledge but also with integration with the industry. Offering new job opportunities to our students and graduates through University-Industry collaborations and providing them with technological opportunities were discussed. Mustafa Çeliker stated that they have developed products on Industry 4.0, Autonomous Air/Land Vehicles and Smart Home Systems by employing graduates from DPÜ Computer Engineering and Electrical-Electronics Engineering Departments, and talked about the work done to provide technical support and internship opportunities to DPÜ Teknofest teams. He emphasized that in this way, students will interact with the business world at an earlier stage and have the chance to implement their projects in the real world.
After the visit, a strong cooperation idea was adopted between DPU and the technology company. With this collaboration, the idea was reached to offer opportunities to graduates and Teknofest teams, and for DPU and the technology company to become a common technology base and to train the technology leaders of the future.
